Expectations
The CODP Minnesota program was the vision of Herb Brooks, and was made possible through the initiative of the U.S.O.C. in cooperation with U.S.A. Hockey. The CODP program was then implemented by Herb Brooks and Jack Blatherwick, Ph.D., Physiologist from the University of Minnesota.
It is important for every participant to consider the nature of the program. This is not just another hockey school or league. It will require a tremendous commitment for most of the off-season months, and it will include intense on-ice and off-ice workouts. This is a rare opportunity to help you pursue your dreams in hockey. Because of the success of the 1998, 2002 and the 2006 U.S. Olympic Women's Hockey Teams, thousands of girls around the country will be training to make the next Olympic team. Take advantage of this program because it is the only one of its kind in the nation.
