Details
Athletes who have demonstrated skill equivalent to high school varsity level hockey are eligible to try out. This includes U12 and U14 players.
In addition to the benefits of participating in an elite training program, CODP will host event opportunities, which will include college recruiters.
The CODP Metro training program consists of on- and off-ice training and scrimmages. Ice sessions will include a one hour pre-ice warm-up dryland session followed by an intense 75-minute on-ice session followed by approximately one hour of off-ice dryland training: including plyometrics, weightlifting and skating exercises training movements specific to hockey. A selected number of new participants will be accepted into the eight-week program. The program starts June 8th, 2008 and ends July 27, 2008. On-line registrations for tryouts will take place starting on January 1, 2008 at www.codpmn.com. Tryout dates and times are located here. Upon selection, participants’ attendance and work ethic are considerably viewed as most important by our player development coaching staff. (You may also register to participate in tryouts to be held for Northern Minnesota. Tryout dates and times are located here.)
